As a user of Spacelift, one of the pain points we’ve run into is around managing Terraform state directly in the platform, especially in situations where state gets corrupted or desynchronized.
Recently, we had to manually export, edit, and re-import state to recover from a broken resource reference. While the new “Export” button helps, the overall experience is still quite fragile and requires deeper CLI knowledge or risky console commands.
It would be extremely helpful to have a dedicated UI for state management, ideally accessible from the stack’s resource view. Specifically, we’d love to be able to:
View and navigate the state in a structured way
Delete or modify individual state resources directly from the UI
Avoid full manual exports/imports for small surgical fixes
Right now, the lack of this capability makes recovery workflows more error-prone and less accessible for non-senior engineers. A more intuitive experience would go a long way in reducing support overhead and keeping teams moving faster.
