Hi, thanks for clarifying. Sounds like the real ask is a lightweight, no-setup way to get notified on run completion, without configuring Slack/Teams integrations.
We don't have that today, and given the limited interest on this request, we're closing it for now rather than leaving it in review. It's a useful data point though, and we'll keep it in mind.
Thanks again for the context.

Totally hear the ask—thanks for raising it. Curious to dig into the job here: what’s the moment when an email would help, and what happens if you don’t get it?
We’ve historically avoided email for this because it’s noisy, unreliable (spam filters, etc.), and disconnected from the tools people actually work in. Slack, webhooks, inbox—those keep context and response closer to the problem.
That said, the real question is: what outcome are you chasing? Is it “get alerted fast”? “Don’t forget something completed”? “Show me what broke”? Let’s zoom in on why this matters—email might be one way, but maybe there’s a better one.

Hey Marcin.
I guess this ask is coming from a “well, Azure devops does it, and we like knowing if our deploy works if we look away”. I think the ask is a quick way of getting notified of failed/successful runs, without having to setup a full slack bot or teams api access etc.
