Improved Policy Feedback & UI for End Users

While we can create approval policies today, the end-user experience is extremely limited. Right now, engineers get a basic "policy undecided" message with zero context. This creates confusion and slows down workflows.

What’s Needed:

  • Ability to display clear messages inside the UI during approvals (e.g. “Missing ticket ref,” “Pending security review”)

  • UI support for custom error/warning messages on policy rejection or approval

  • Optional ability to include remediation steps or link

    Current Pain:

  • Users only see the name of the policy—no explanation of why something was blocked.

  • This creates unnecessary Slack threads or approvals that are rubber-stamped without understanding.

Desired Outcome:

Enable us to guide users through approvals with context-rich feedback. It makes policies educational, not just restrictive
