I’m afraid that this kind of promotion would not work because it would require persisting a workspace which does not happen in proposed runs. If we instead created a new tracked run there be no guarantee that it would be identical to the proposed run that you’ve just seen because the state may have already changed (proposed runs don’t take state locks) or it could depend on a volatile data source etc. In a sense this kind of promotion would require us basing on guarantees that Terraform/OpenTofu simply don’t provide, so we’d be offering a solution that’s flawed by design. It’s not a decision I’d be willing to make in good faith.
