Is it possible optionally to turn on workers limit on account or space level? Purpose of request is to avoid accidentally having too many workers running.
Follow up towards Upvoters: are you using workerpools (left side menu Manage Organization → Worker Pools) effectively? It does seem that’s the best place to set additional limits, on top of the worker pools allocated workers. Since each worker pool is assigned to a space.

Quick question towards the Upvoters: would such a setting need to expire at the end of the cycle, when all worker calculations get reset? Would such concern (“do not go above the contracted # of workers”) be valid until the end of the month or is it more like a permanent setting?

The best option would be an option to block starting new workers past the contracted number once the 5% overage time for the month has expired. It would be nice if this could be paired with a notification to us so we can decide what to do afterwards
Another acceptable option would be to provide the data for us to build this sort of automation ourselves, eg a webhook that can be notified when there is an alert about remaining overage time for the month. Currently, this is hard to do because the usage data only updates once per day at 12a UTC

Thanks @Evan Strat . Good news - the UI & notification part you are mentioning is already In Progress, will update this ticket once it’s live.
Can you expand a bit on this part? “Currently, this is hard to do because the usage data only updates once per day at 12a UTC”? Where do you see this? Would you expect to collect the data via Datadog and then build some metrics based on the minute-based calculations you would build yourself?

The resulting report has per-minute worker count info which can be used to calculate our current overage minutes, except that the data seems to only refresh once per day based on the latest timestamp in the CSV
