Terraform Remote State is here!

We are pleased to announce that we're adding an option (off by default) to access Spacelift-managed Terraform state from outside of its stack. The state can be accessed both locally, in automation, or from a different Spacelift stack - for example as remote state data source. You can flip a simple switch to enable this feature.

Once you have allowed external state access, you can use a Terraform datasource to access the state. A terraform plan will query the state and display the cluster_name of my EKS cluster:

As you can see, this is an incredibly powerful feature! You can even export your state to troubleshoot it locally.
